Totally agree!

I set up the Wiki thing to allow me to add information faster, and to make it possible for people to search for answers.

I think there should be a big guide, and it should be posted in the Wiki.

At the moment, I think I make it so only Wiki mods could add stuff to it.

I should take that off, but I can't remember what the heck I edited!(smiley) I'll have a look later.

Once you hit a certain amount of power, you are right, people start to feel like it is better to keep going, rather than waste their previous efforts.

I would like to think the community side of the game is pretty well developed now, and I have some new things coming to make it easier to speak to eachother.

I am going to have to stop telling people to contact me if they are confused, and refer them to a proper guide/tutorial, because if we end up with a few thousand players, I'm going to be driven to insanity(smiley)

By advertising, I mean posting the game's link everywhere on the internet, and starting an advertising campaign with something like Adwords.

I also have a few contacts who have agreed to help me once I think we are ready to cope with it.

I think we are ready is most respects, but I do have some worries, like the quest not having enough stuff in.

Because I made the thing, I have the wrong perspective of things, and I'm sure a new player would be pretty happy with everything else we have now, with the exception of a bit more detail in the quest.

Noob Guides.. There should be atleast an official one provided in the forum..

I could make one, but I haven't been a noob in this game for about 1 1/2 years.. Somebody more recent has to do it..

Also full working noobie quests should be easily accesible.. complete with walkthroughs ofcourse for those really really slow minded players..

Its starting out thats the hard thing.. Once you have grown to atleast a good amount of xp, what usually  drives people to grow is to own in the game..

BTw, advertise? you mean like those mmorpg top 100/200 vote thingys?

Thing is, it will get easier to grow as I add more and more stuff to the quest.

I look forward to the mods the most.

I'm not fast myself.. 1 1/2 years for 3m xp.. if you want fast, go talk to Mobius and ask his secret..

Anyway, the way I see thing now, barely 2months of playing you can easily reach 1m xp as obviously visible in the monthly growth charts.. all a newbie needs is someone to teach him/her how..

Yeah, I think the quest is the issue.. if its not completely filled with "stuffs", people are just gonna compare it with other similar mmorpg (esp. outwar wtf! again since they have a lot of quests but stupid community concept)..

If you ask me, the quest area is still too small for it to be something to brag about.. but dont get me wrong, progress has been great though..

but you should definitely start the advertising thing.. i'm getting sick of the same old faces in this game..

I didn't have to do it but I did it to say, that I didn't have to do it but I would anyway..

You seem to be thinking along the same lines as me(smiley)

Clearly, we need to elaborate on the quest, but just how much is required before we can be confident about looking for new players is what concerns me.

I think we could do reasonably well without it, as some games have no such construct, but when it's there and it isn't very detailed, it looks like we are unfinished, rather than us looking like we have much more features than a game without such a feature.

I will spend this week improving it, and whether it is finished or not, I'm going to start the advertising. I think it is the only way(smiley)

It's no secret just mind numbing clicking for at least 2 hours a day...

anyways I'd agree that the quest is lacking, everything else is cool but the quest area needs a bit more detail before funneling people in.

Really? Wow.. And all this time I thought you were sort of a biomechanical man with auto-clicking superpowers.. Who knew you could feel numbness too? hehehe.. hahaha.. just joking..

Anyway, people are still gonna come once you advertise.. SOme are gonna be p**sed off that it seems not finished and start comparing it to other games.. While other look at it as an opportunity and see the game as still young and looks forward to any updates in the future.. different perspective from different walks of life..

One thing that entered my mind.. You need to make it so that new players have a chance in this round to catch up.. A lot of players are very pa**ionate about winning or coming out on top.. And if they see that it is not possible coz they are already behind, they wont bother to play the game anymore.. There must be a clear possibility for them to catch up, but also for old players to keep their advantage if they put effort into it.. you can't stay on top of you dont work for it right?
