What is FutureRP
FutureRP is a Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). It is entirely browser-based. Our population is increasing each day.
Set in the future, you create your own character, fight, explore, wage wars! There are many weapons, shields, and rare artefacts to find! You can trade your supplies with other players, and collect complete item sets for bonus power!
Create guilds of like-minded players, for extra power/security. In addition, there are quests and adventures to complete, hundreds of creatures to talk to, and monsters to kill for their treasures!

Version 8.25.0 Released
This release brings several new moderation tools to help mitigate the annoyance of malicious players and spammers.
Additionally, a full API suite has been implemented to enable LLM MCP to interface with the World Builder and help generate and modify maps, place NPCs, flesh out quests, and more.
It should be a real help as I start adding new content to the game, as manually clicking hundreds of forms gets old fast.
Version 8.24.0 Released
Just a series of backend fixes; refactor board pages to use proper APIs; rudimentary public RSS feed; fixes to Preferred Player purchase processing, etc.
Dozens of small improvements across the game that were noticed after analysing this week's error logs.
More updates to come (actual user-visible stuff next time, hopefully, but it's all positive stuff).
Version 8.23.0 Released
More backend work today:
- Add double-submit CSRF token feature to mitigate exploits - makes it harder for third parties to trick you into doing actions with your account from hidden forms on their website
- Minor redirect and error page tweaks to look slightly less bad
- Remove some lingering ancient volatile GET requests - more conformant to modern standards
- Add recent threads to sidebar advert box that appears on various pages
- Declare all static assets to be immutable, improving caching performance - this one should improve perceived site speed by making sure your browser holds onto page assets very aggressively
There's also been some work on the chat system's backend, and the beginnings of a modern frontend for it, though this is yet to be deployed.
