Actually there is another way to do all this and keep the gangs..
How about if gang power is only calculated by the people who have only been on the last 72 hours and if the gang activity hits hits zero then the gang folds completely?

Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea.
I used to dispand gangs automatically when they hit <15% bioenergy
I was told of A LOT by lazy wasters
Still, I will do what you say. I don't know about the 72 hour thing, but I think its worth a go
Btw, with regards to 'boredom because of version change', I think I have solved almost all of the problems already.
All of the features from the old game are still here - well, the ones people used anyway.
You can't tell me skills aren't better. Items are much better(need more though),
and the quest has much potential(but it's not like it's the reason for boredom - the old round 3 quest was pretty boring, in my opinion).
I have a lot of new stuff coming out this week

72 hour thing is something I dislike tbh
I'm going to talk to Wolfmother and any other active co-leader. Depending on their reaction, I will either transfer full leadership to one of them and leave, or just disband and let the few active members join or form other guilds.
Should at least help spread some more power to other gangs and weed out any inactive members getting free protection.

72 hour idea seems a bit ponitless and ruins one of the reasons for creating gangs, gangs arent all about being active and it is part of the game to sometimes try and get a higher level player to join your gang even if they arent very active anymore, taking that away ruins being in a gang.

Trust is earned, will you earn it?

Agreed.
The 72 hour power calculation is just taking attempts at forcing balance between the guilds one step too far. This is when the guilds become completely boring and unfair. If a guild isn't rewarded for having a group of players who have actually put a lot of effort into their accounts, then there really is no point to be a part of a guild in the first place.
Anyway, regarding the disbanding of SH. It seems that it is being forced now, I can't be a***d running a guild when all of our hard work and effort is just made worthless because other guilds think they should be able to beat us. Me and Wolfmother have reached an agreement, in the future we can always regroup and take back our rightful place at the top. But for now, it is just pointless and becoming a chore to actually bother.

I mentioned the 72 hour idea as I thought it was a good compromise and lets face it.. If you attacked a gang in any situation then you attack the group that was there and not the stradlers from the group who hadn't been there for weeks.
