I mentioned earlyer that it is too hard to get points on outwar. Which is why if you make points the main currency, you cannot become money hungry =) Otherwise the game'll end up like outwar. And we don't want that now do we?

But that's the whole point. They would FAIL if you could get points easily, because they rely on them being controlled for the pricing of everything in their game.

That is why it would be difficult to merge cash and points without removing the ability to steal them from every npc, and gain them per hour.

It simple wouldn't be sustainable.

Their system is locked into a currency you have to buy with real money, basically. Sure, you can get it through other means, but it's very hard.

A proper currency needs to be flexible, and that is why 'cash' is compatible with everything, and Points useful only for limited things that would not work well with cash.

Let me rephrase some of that:
It is probably plausible to set up the point center to use this new single currency.
It's easy to use it on all existing cash-based stuff.
It is NOT a simple task to maintain the rarity of points, so the number will be much higher(similar to cash, but with a few less zeros).

The other thing is, if you can obtain this new currency through income/hr, attacking, etc, there is hardly any incentive to buy it with real money, which is bad business if I plan to keep the game online.

I beleive you just contradicted yourself? Didn't you say before that you wanted to make points receivable through attacks? Or did I misread? What ever mate . You have put up a good argument. I have nothing else to say right now.

Lemme sleep on it. I'll have pleanty to say on the subject tomorrow

Before you try and make CK look like a tw*t, try quoting where he said this before you act c**ky and think you know it all.

I never said that at any point

Stop comparing games to Outwar.. No matter how similar it may be, its a different game. And instead of trying to improve where Outwar failed, instead don't follow Outwars path at low, be a DIFFERENT game.

I didn't have to do it but I did it to say, that I didn't have to do it but I would anyway..

Yes, it's the pinnacle of idiocy to further draw inspiration from a game that is known to be failing miserably now. I heard they are trying to merge two of their servers because there aren't enough people on them.

They have made bad decisions. We do not have to do the same.
I vote that we change cash to Credits, and give it a little symbol similar to a memory card.

A rectangle with a set of strips across the top - Sociopath was talking about this with me yesterday(smiley)

With regards to points, I think they are okay as they are for now. As I have explained, there are a lot of problems to overcome before it's plausible to merge cash and points.
