If you really look at it now though, points are a HUGE credit sink. Problem is some people (JD) don't care to spend credits on points. Blah blah blah, all makes it back to the top of the ladder lol.

Yeh, everyone spends tons on points, but not really a sink.. Because the money just goes straight to the players selling the points.. A sink usually takes away money, not transfers, I think. But yeh, you're right about the money up the ladder. That is why i was thinking about the tax. Because esp. JD should be taxed, because he just hoards all that cash haha. And if we had some way to give the tax funds to the players at the bottom of the ladder, we could have a more refined economy in-game.. Maybe..

Yeah very good point, I wasn't really thinking there I guess. Basically I was thinking it's a way to spread out that money, imagine JD buying all the points in the Point trading right now; Still have billions left over.

I agree with your idea though (smiley)

I can't really think of anything that can be implemented that can award other players with money that has been taxed from others. In all there's a lot of faults in stealing from banks as far as I can see.

But the extra floating money will just work its way up: A level 50 will attack the level 20 with all the level 1's cash, the level 90 will attack that level 50, and in the end someone like JD will attack the level 90 and end up hoarding all the cash. The top few will battle it out for all the money.

So I don't see how this will work.

Yeh, i know what you mean. But with something like this tax, the money would keep coming out of the higher players banks and back into the hands of the lowers.. So it would be a flow, not quite hoarding it. And thats also why I suggested taxing more wealthy players more than less wealthy players. So that it would be harder to hoard the money that way.

And yeh Prodigy, I don't know how to implement something like this either. Not sure if it's even possible, just thought I would mention what was rolling around in my head haha. I really have no knowledge of programming and the other stuff Cyber does...

I don't mind people being able to save a [relatively] small amount of money (perhaps 50mil), without fear of losing it. The issue is when people are saving up 100's of millions of Credits, with no fear of vulnerability.

I'll continue to think about this problem. I think that a lot of it is down to the way money is stolen. If it weren't a percentage of the total unbanked wealth, it might be less terrifying to leave it unbanked.

Idk, the bank should definitely not be impenetrable like it is now though.
