the real problem here is, that you'd need to be able to resell your previous items for the same amt of money that you bought them with, in order to afford the gear you need @ higher lvl (since obviously the higher the lvl, the more your gear costs, but you still get nearly the same amt of Cr from attacking). or then you'd need to get all the items as boss-drops.
for example, check the costs for spawning items. trying to get the gear for your level is impossible with those prices.

that isnt related to the new Cr system in any way. those Cr were earned in the old system, and the cause for spending them is new items.
