why make these when CK is already making a site similar to this?
He's only posting the advertisements that other people have done for the game

My, what att*tude.

Yes, CK is making a site similar to it and it's going to be great -- can't wait until its finished.  BUT...as of now, the difference between that and myspace, is that myspace is populated by loads more people.  Thus, having the potential to attract newcomers into the game.    People on your friend list, or someone browsing through one of your contacts might accidentally stumble across the page and want to join.

Does it harm anyone/anything? No.  Would it help?  Possibly.
No one is forcing you to join, right?  Didn't think so..

i really couldnt care if people make myspace sites etc i cant see the point in telling everybody your life story and day by day crap on them.

im just saying CK is making a site similar if people wanted a space like that instead of using an already popluated site.

I think you've missed the point.  There's a benefit advertising on a populated site.

Populated = lots of people.
Lots of people are exposed to the game, thus allowing a better opportunity for people joining the game.

And as for the day-to-day blogging about my personal life, I don't plan on doing that. You're right about that.  Pointless, really.  You wouldn't care too much about reading something trivial as me buying new shoes, or seeing some really hot guy at the store.  And ..vice versa.

**Regardless of whether or not people join the whole myspace thing, at least its broadcasted to the others out there.  No harm in that.
