The correct spelling is mold...

In the UK fungi is often referred to as "mould" whilst in the US fungi is spelled "mold"
Mold in the form here, as in to mold something, is always spelled "mold"

The english way of spelling it is definatly mould
edit: the oxford english dictionary says

sorry dude... your wrong... go to wiki, they redirect you to the correct spelling of mold. Look in a regular dictionary if you like, it will do the same.

It's definitely a UK/US thing, didn't know they spell the verb form odd in the UK as well...

It is just one of those things.
It is easy to get confused when most of the internet uses the US spelling.
The HTML documentation recommends the use of "color" instead of the British "colour", for instance.
Also, there is the confusing deviation in usage of Z.
The British English is supposed to use S, which has roots in french(to my knowledge).
Example: Civilisation and Civilization.
I have came to the conclusion that it makes almost no difference, and if the odd Americanized spelling is slipped in, it's okay.
