The correct spelling is mold...

edit... I'll elaborate.

In the UK fungi is often referred to as "mould" whilst in the US fungi is spelled "mold"

Mold in the form here, as in to mold something, is always spelled "mold"

The english way of spelling it is definatly mould

edit: the oxford english dictionary says

Quote
Mould

  •  Transitive verb - to guide or control the develpment of.
  • noun - hollow container into which a liquid is poured to set into a desired shape

or

  • noun  - furry growthof tiny fungi on a damp substance

I know the second one is kinda irrelevant but i put it in anyway

You forgot to include the part in parenthesis...

(US mold)

It's definitely a UK/US thing, didn't know they spell the verb form odd in the UK as well...

It is just one of those things.

It is easy to get confused when most of the internet uses the US spelling.

The HTML documentation recommends the use of "color" instead of the British "colour", for instance.

Also, there is the confusing deviation in usage of Z.
The British English is supposed to use S, which has roots in french(to my knowledge).

Example: Civilisation and Civilization.
I have came to the conclusion that it makes almost no difference, and if the odd Americanized spelling is slipped in, it's okay.
