- [Feedback required] Preferred Player remaining days when upgrading package
Tue Dec 15 0:30:23 EST 2020
So, I thought it was okay at first the 3 days left did not tick over to 30 until the day ticked over. But, that still leaves it at 3 days lost of the previous preferred player. Normally i would just let it run out then have a day or few without, but this time I decided to test it a little and see what happens when I buy a new month of it before the previous month was over as well as a different tier.
TL;DR: As far as i can tell i lost 3 days of the lowest tier of PP. I'm not too worried about it myself just saying that might be a thing to look at.
Hows it going, and have fun.

Hey Jrady,
Did you change tier? If same tier, it just adds on. If not, there's some weird formula to decide how many days of the new tier you get. It's been about 10 years since I looked at the formula, but you're right that it's not clear and perhaps there's a better way.
Issues are:
- If you upgrade to Advanced from Basic, you probably want it to start immediately
- That means you can either lose remaining days of Basic, or convert them somehow
If anyone has a suggestion, let me know.

Can the player be provided with the option? I.e. "Start Immediately" vs "Start at end of existing cycle"?

Ah, yeah that seems right, I don't know exactly how many days I got but I don't think it was more than 30. I'm not too worried about it though, I was mostly just trying to get a higher tier and didn't want to wait. I was calculating the effectiveness of the point and xp bonuses to see exactly what tier would be better for what I want. I came to the conclusion that while the top tier is obviously more of both, I think the xp increase was notably more, and the point increase was not ideal. Basically if you want the best value for points and care about the cost then the basic is best but if it's xp your going for then the top tier is best, but either way if you don't care too much about money then the top tier still has the best value.
Anyways, don't worry about it CK I was mostly just trying to see what would happen with upgrading before the time ran out.
