- [Fixed] Editing a post bumps the thread to the top of the list
Mon Aug 29 18:43:29 EDT 2011
I don't think thread should move to the top when an edit in post is made. Probably keep the new post icon thingy though.
Even though I notice last post dates almost immediately, I can't say same about some of the others though, which might result in chaos.
EDIT: Probably bug this time, in forum list, it shows the date of last post in "newest" topic.

What is the behaviour of other forums? If you believe this to be non-standard, I'll change it

As far as I have seen, nothing happens to thread status, when a post is edited.

imo it should bump the thread
I cant be a***d to bump my thread every time i add a new idea / edit one in the original, 1st post. (or there could be a button for "not bumping" the thread while editing a post)
+ I dont see how its harmful in any way (threads being bumped when you edit a msg in them. not many people do it anyways, they just write a new reply). At least for now, when the forum isnt too active.

Well, I just want it to work like any other forum. I do worry that an old thread will be "unread", but pages back, so you have to browse to find it. At the same time, it's nice to be able to edit a t*tle without the little %&$% jumping to the top of the list.
I'm undecided now. Having a checkbox is weird though. I don't know what other forums do, but that sounds strange
