This might have been mentioned before, but for the lack of a search function, here it is:

Let leaders/high-ranking members of guilds moderate their guild shoutbox. Or, if you wanna get into it further, let it be one of the check-able options on the "Edit Guild Ranks" page.

I'm not asking for anything fancy, but the ability to delete or edit certain visible posts would be nice.

Yeah, okay. Makes sense to me. For quickness, I'd probably bind it to Full Privileges and Edit Guild Profile privileges initially.
