Ok this is a very rough idea and quite frankly dont know if it could be done....but ill give it a shot explaining.

Purchase Guilds....

Lets say i own COG even though i dont just an example.. We are a top 5 guild.....I dont want to own or run the guild anymore. So i would be able to put a price on it ....Credits or Points to sell it.

Now the person that buys the guild cannot own a guild already......and when the purchase happens the guild needs stay intact and notify everyone via message that the guild has been sold to another person and that new person would be running it.

So it would be like purchasing a house ( guild ) and selling a house (guild)

It then would put a sell price to the guild to show what the value is of the guild ...so if the new person trys to resell guild everyone would know what the last sell price was.....

You must if you buy the guild keep it for so long before you can sell to eliminate people from buying guilds and just reselling them.

Basically what is going to make the price is who you have in the guild.

So it would be auction style with points or credits.....and now there would be another way of spending them.....

Like i said ..rough idea LOL but it might have legs if more ideas can sharpen it (smiley)

There is a kinda unofficial black market for guilds already.

Many people will buy a ready-made guild, with full upgrades, instead of creating it themselves.

The process is as follows:
- Buyer gives seller funds.
- Seller invites buyer into guild.
- Seller transfers ownership to buyer.

It's not a standardised, protected transaction at the moment though.

I think it would be cool to have an official buying and selling of guild feature ...then person that owns guild could look at offers in a window and base his decisions on that.....Something offiical though AFTER world builder is done and after your vacation from creating world builder (smiley)

eh, I'm not against this, but it could cause serious problems. you're not only selling for upgrades, but for who's in the guild-- what guarantee is that the people will stay in the guild, or participate? what would stop a guild from just selling their guild, everyone leaving to make a new one?

if this did happen, people would have to be smart enough to buy a guild simply for the guild's upgrades, not for the people in it, unless their could also be some sort of "mercenary contract" binding the people to the guild for a certain amount of time... which they would of course have to agree to first.

Nobody will really care about the members. It's usually the upgrades that they want.

You do have a point though. Being bought out is a recipe for members getting disillusioned and leaving. That's only going to be a huge problem if the guild leader does the dealings behind their back.
