What about this idea....

For every link of someone's you click.... you get a point.  Up to 20 an hour (providing you clicka  link every 3 minutes for an hour).

They can really add up.  Its another way people can earn points

You can even cap it at 20 if you want.  any link clicks after 20 gets you 0.  or leave it uncapped for even more points.  Havent thought it entirely through.  A lil tired at the moment.

Good idea Mike, it definitely helps new players BOTH ways, exp and points
They get exp from other players, and points by clicking other players links
Hitting 2 birds with one stone.

I agree, but then again, there will ALWAYS be things for people to exploit. And not only that, but they'll get what's coming to them if they decide to exploit that, Socio will make sure of that (smiley)

People get far too many free points already.

However, there is something that other games do with clicks that might be nice. Basically, once you have gained over X clicks in a day, your account gets a special buff. It could give you a boost of attack, agility, turns/hr, etc.

It would be implemented as a kind of skill, so anything a skill can do, this click buff could.

Yea but I was referring to the people who actually click links, not get their links clicked.  ANYONE can use yarolds to get clicks.  But what's the benefit for someone who actually does the clicking?  The hope that someone may click back?  What I was getting at is trying to get more people to click links aka partake in yet another aspect of the game.
