I've been mulling this over for a week or so...

Sociopath - among others - is constantly nagging me to use something like phpBB3 (which I'm quite fond of).

The advantages being, we have more forum features and tools.
The disadvantages are that you'll have to register on your own. There are ways to register you in the forum automatically, but I haven't looked into that since phpBB2 and it's something that wouldn't be done right away.

I've been trying hard to keep every aspect of the game wrapped up together, but it's just silly of me
I'll set it up tonight if the feedback is positive.

EDIT: I would only use phpBB3, because I've used it before. I know there are others, but they are foreign to me and I wouldn't know how to make skins for them.

on my clans webby, i believe we use phpbb and its very clean, and looks good

im and admin on it, and admining is quite user friendly (im new to admining forums)

so yeah, i think it'd be decent to have a new forum

There *may* be a way to save the threads in this forum, by modifying some else's import script, but I can't find one
It's not vital anyway. Most of the posts in this forum are full of off-topic arguments

Could this forum be archived in case there was a thread that somone wanted to be able to access to repost?  For example, I think some guilds have some really great info in their forums, they'd want to bring over.  And there are quite a few good info posts out there as well.
