HTML Emails are evil!
It is incredibly hard to get the newsletter to look nice in every email client.
What a mess! It's like the email clients are stuck in the 90's.
Even Gmail blocks "background-image:url()" so you can't have images in the newsletter unless you use an <img> tag, which leads to unclean code.
I've managed to get it looking nice in GMail, except it doesn't allow rounded borders(it strips out the firefox, webkit and css3 border radius styles).
I'm going to have to offer both plain text and html support, along with a proper html representation of the newsletter for OUTSIDE of the email clients.
Once things for certain - once I've finished the design for this newsletter, it ain't ever changing

why not just post it online, like on a blog and send everybody an email when you update it. it's simple, and less of a headache for you
