Ok, this is something I've seen on several sites that I thought might be interesting to implement here. I don't know if it'd work, but I'm gonna suggest it anyway (smiley) The forum needs to be viewable to non-logged-in members though, not sure if it is cause I'm permanently logged in (smiley)

Anyway, It's simply a section or thread in the forum where we can report who's been banned, warned or put on probation (potentially, if that were something we used) so that not only are they named and shamed (I take great pleasure in reading the Banning Reports threads in other places, for my own sick amusement :lol(smiley) but it shows the other members what we do about rule-breakers so that they can see a clear consequence if they were to choose to do the same, and it allows the banned members to come and see what they were banned for and how long their ban will last.

I don't know if I'm explaining it very well, but what do the rest of you think? I can answer questions and whatnot (smiley)

Yes, this has been suggested a few times before.

It wouldn't even be that much effort to make it viewable by logged out players.
I will try to get this working.

And, with regards to a ban list, we could have a forum thread, or we could have a page listing recent suspensions, along with a reason and the contact details of the admins who are involved.

Normally, I expect people to send a message to support@futurerp.net or admin@futurerp.net

Sociopath sometimes tells them to email him directly too.

I like the idea to make the forum viewable for guests too (i.e. see the forum without being logged in).

However I'd suggest a general *page* on here, and not a forum thread, to keep tracks of bans and reasons.

Not all players read the forum. And even if they did, for anybody browsing a forum for the first time it is difficult to find a particular thread (even if it's a stickied one).

I suggest something like a "Ban List" (or any other t*tle) page, available under "Community" and viewable by guests.

Just give them a help ticket that directs them right to me (smiley)

Lol, I didn't even think of an actual page for it XD That's how dense I am (smiley) Though I do also like the Sociopath help ticket idea (smiley)
