I disagree with this decision to give the level 25 NPC money. All of the other players who have made it past that NPC never was rewarded with credits and this isn't the first time this has come up.
Well, come to think of it, it kind of makes sense as long as this would be the only non-lootable NPC and there were new ones (loot-able).

I think it should be left as is and new NPC's should be introduced into the game.
Introduce a couple more mid level NPC's and some higher level NPC's. It is a definite need in the game as far as I am concerned. I think the higher level is needed more.
Maybe introduce a Cyborg-Pirate at Level 65.

Everybody says they'd like more NPCs to attack. You, in parrticular, wish for a level 65 one. If you'd ask anyone here, the conclusion will probably be they'd all like another NPC type each every 5 levels.

Of course what I want and what everyone else wants is relative to their needs.
Obtaining access to the level 25 and level 30 NPC is pretty easy because there are so many more players to attack and the necessary experience to gain levels is so small.
But when you reach the higher level there are fewer players to attack along with no NPC's above level 50.
The lower level players have something to shoot for, a goal to achieve, but the higher level players, after level 65, there is no real goal except to try and reach the top of the players list.
It would be nice to see more NPC's in the game for all levels, but I think to keep people playing, especially the higher level players there is a definite need to implement higher level NPC's.

Well, I can tell you know that it isn't happening
Why? Because everybody will be dumped onto a space station, and the wilderness will be erased.
But don't worry, I'm using the same forest tileset to make a world full of monsters instead
I figured that it would be much, MUCH better this way. Infinite expanse of space to explore.
Not everything needs an explanation. There can just *be* a planet full of animal things to attack. It wouldn't need a backstory.
With the current setup, I feel like everything needs to be explained. That's why I'm changing it.
