I've seen wear and tear systems work out really well in both real time and turn based games. One of the best systems I've seen, if you fight certain monsters, or spend too much time in a sandy area, your equipment gets rusty, and becomes less effective until polished. The better the equipment, usually the less prone to rust. Also, blessings against equipment damage were available to purchase, though I prefered to coat my weapons with protective snake oil.


Yeh, it is a nice touch. I'm just afraid that it will be a complexity too far in this game. We do seem to have a lot of stuff already(smiley)
Still, I think we should try it at some point, just to make sure.

could you make things of your own specifacation and wepons that no-one else has kinda thing . . .

Sorry, but no because that would require you to determine the effects of the item and it's image yourself, and that's too much power for each player to have(smiley)
We tried that in round 3 and ended up with a game full of mspaint items and poorly scaled google images(smiley)

my items were quite nice if i do say so my self, i know you remember my spartan outfit. that was beast with the red glow lol i wish i still had the images (smiley)
