Ok, I'm getting between 1 and 5 PMs a week requesting that I join people's guilds. In fact, I got THREE from one member within only a few minutes saying 'will u join my guild?' 'so are u gonna join my guild then?' 'join my guild!' or something along those lines.
I initially thought it was because I wasn't IN a guild, so I created one so that people would (hopefully) stop spamming me with guild requests. I decided that if I continue to play the game long-term, putting money into the guild now would save time in the long run, meaning if I ever did choose to advertise my guild in the guild section of the forum, which is what it was presumably created for I would at least have something to offer people. I would never EVER think of spamming people's inboxes with guild requests.
However, within literally minutes of creating my guild, I had two more join request messages. I was deleting them to save space in my inbox, but I have begun saving them so that if there is any protocol in place for members spamming people's inboxes with these requests I can at least show who is doing it.
Is there any way I can block these messages without having to block each member as they do it (as it won't stop new people spamming me, and most of the time once I reply with 'no' they do, in fairness to them, leave me alone) because it's very frustrating for me, especially as when I see a new message I think 'ooh, someone interesting wants to talk to me' then go 'oh, just another damn spam message ¬_¬'.
Does anyone have any advice on this? It's getting to the point where I'm beginning to want to stop playing, because I loathe spam and receiving it virtually every day is very disheartening. I don't think I'd even mind so much if there was some substance to it i.e.
"Would you be interested in joining my guild? Benefits are: (insert whatever benefits here)"
Correct spelling would be nice too ¬_¬
Also, I'm very sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I have to admit I was a little unsure so mods - feel free to move or delete it if it's in the wrong place.

you can add the annoying people to your "ignore list" just go to message inbox then click "edit ignore list" then add the names of the players.

The trouble is, they only usually message me once, and this won't solve my problem of other random people sending me the same spammy PMs
If I reply negatively (as in, saying no) then they don't tend to bother me again. It's the rest of the population I need to deal with, rather than the ones that have already sent me the messages

I'm not sure what I can do, unless I make the inbox slightly more interesting...

It doesn't matter too much - I can just carry on the way I have been, refusing their offers. I just wasn't sure if there was anything already in place about it. If there isn't it doesn't matter It's irritating, but not the end of the world XD
Thankee anyway both of you <3

Why not try putting it under your description in your profile that you are not interested in joining any guilds?
Another option is to create a auto reply feature that you could check the message, click auto-reply. The auto-reply could be written by you to state you are not interested in a guild and any further message from you will be automatically deleted.
Or finally, maybe make it mandatory that a subject line must be entered in before the message will be sent. Or maybe a drop down detailing what the information is about, whether it is guild related, clicked link message, or something like that.
Oh well, just my 2 pennies worth.
