I have been experimenting with fluid layouts.
This basically means that the website expands to fill the full width of your browser window.
This is good for many reasons. For instance, you might be doing something else and want to shrink to browser window a little to make room - the content would shrink accordingly.

Or, perhaps you are like me and have a huge screen that a fixed width website looks odd in.

I have took inspiration from several sites, such as slashdot, digg, a few art websites and social networks.
Now, I realise that this is a mess - it is not finished and links are not correct - but please try to be objective in your opinions of it.
The idea is to make better use of space. Here is what I have so far... Colours are not so good yet either.

Important Points

The menu bar full of 'Hello' can collapse as you run out of room, and expand to include more options if you have a bigger screen. The 'more' button will show all options regardless of resolution.
Even the little thumbnails of your allies and enemies will collapse as room runs out. If you have a bigger screen, more allies will fit on one row.

I looks a lot like idleswarm

Is there still going to be the option of having the old futurerp layout still?

It depends.
I want this to be brilliant and make it the default template for the game.

The current default template defines over a hundred individual page's interfaces, so those will have to be ported over to the new template.

It is more than possible to maintain both versions, but ideally I'd like to have one template that is amazing.

I probably will keep both templates though.

I know. I am the same, most of the time. However, I am sick and tired of seeing the same old template.

I want something new. I don't want to move to something less effective, so I won't be making any hasty decisions. It is entirely possible to keep the current one when the new one comes along.

All that will happen is that I make two new template files for every new page I make.

It needs a lot of thought before anything happens. I will, however, be working on this new template for the next few weeks, on and off.
The quest is the priority, but I will be slipping in time for template work to relieve the monotony of making maps

EDIT:
Opinions are greatly appreciated.
If you have an idea, or a screen-shot of something that might fit in well, feel free to post it here. I encourage it!(smiley)

This template may well be the new default. It has a long way to go, however.
