Yes NPC. Its a known phenomenom in MMO's that you gain Faction with someone you help, but then loose faction with 1 - 10 other groups and vice versa

A simple but good way to make the game take multiple directions.

I cant wait till we can forge weapons and the like. So, can we, occasionaly dig up rare minerals that makes us able to create a body armor or weapon of Rare quality? ANd offcourse, the player finding the rare mineral and create the item get his\her name imbued under the item name?

Yes. It should cost x amount of turns to mine, and maybe it takes 2 minutes and there is a % if you find anything or not. And every time you mine and stuff you gain skill in that special area. Your total skill determines where you can mine and the chance of finding the things you look for.
What could be interesting aswell, is an option where you can choose to mine (harvest - gather - trapp - what ever get in-game) for x amount of turns. That way you can spend a whole day mining, but therefore being unable to attack. I think also that there should be hard to gain levels in those skills, and thereby you must choose some days wether you want to gain skills in a specific area or get XP during attacks.
