Rather than having total speed for each side to determine which side attacks first, in my opinion, the one with highest speed out of all the other units participating in raid should be the first one to attack, then the second highest does the attack, then third etc. etc. etc.

Just out of interest, what sort of an impact do you expect this will have? (smiley)

I'm not exactly sure, what exactly changes. Raiding just gets more complicated I think (so it won't be mostly just a matter of speed).

I think it makes more sense to have it work this way. As raiding takes crits, misses, and blocks into effect correct? So why not individual speed?

It's hard to think about what will happen, it seems the guild with the most high levels in the raid has a better chance to win VS a guild full of lower levels. Even if the guild has more power. I think?

If it stops being about which side strikes first, and more about which player strikes first, it's going to change the way the page displays too, because people would have to appear on both sides of the screen as the raid played out.

Perhaps it would make things more strategic and less easy to guess the outcome. I'll think about it.
